The wolf huffed....

and he puffed, and he BLEW la casa down!

========================================================
while you all in the northeast have experienced your first snow already (aww...), we in guatemala city have been experiencing crazy wind since yesterday afternoon. i live on the edge of a valley, so i think that the wind is just tunneling down there. it's so loud and scary, sometimes it feels like a tremor since the wind is blowing so hard, or so kammie, who lives on the corner of the building, says. i live on a side of the building and have not felt similarly, but i totally totally believe her. the wind is wicked strong, wicked loud, and the forecast says more of the same for the next couple of days. i'm half expecting to see mary poppins float on by my balcon.

now i know i'm a hardy northeasterner and all (born and raised, yeah son!), but it's been getting cold here, although i think that my feelings are more related to the utter lack of appropriate clothing i brought here. "eternal spring" my arse. i have a mountain of summer skirts and related tops, but only three pairs of full-length pants and one pair of jeans that has seen better days. (must find a tailor and must buy jeans upon returning to boston.) i have a few very light-weight cotton cardigans and my BU hoodie, but that's it. i guess i only have to wait seven more weeks (!) until i can come home and get my winter clothes. cah-razy.

is my blog officially sailing down the river of mediocrity now that i've blogged about the weather situation?

oh, and i need help figuring out my halloween/historical person day costume. i might actually realize my dream, and might be a pilgrim. yahoo!
