not that i'm counting at all, by any means

not that i'm counting (14 more school days for kids), but the end of the academic year is really coming quickly upon us (17 more work days for teachers.) i try usually to live-in-the-now (echoes of Wayne's World) but i am totally looking forward to this summer (14 more student days.) though i went home in december, and though the Moy papas were here in April, i've been feeling like i really really want to get home. (14.) it's a combination of a little bit of cabin fever (17), eagerness to get back to driving in a controlled environment, looking forward to the ease of negotiating in English (14) and enjoying the food (17 more work days). it'll soon be that time. (17 days!)

but, even though i've been regretting it off and on, i will be staying in the country until the 30th of june because i couldn't foresee another giant chunk of free time during which i could travel easily. (have no idea what's happening next summer or where i will be heading next! ahhhh!) however, i've now signed up for spanish language school in a part of the country i've never been, so i am looking forward to that change of scenery (22-28 june). the language school supposedly does a lot with the community and offers fair wages to their employees, another plus. and i will be living with a host family, to which i am really looking forward.

ok, fine. 14 days. 17 days.

boston must-dos from 1 july ---> 9 august:
>haircut to de-mullet-ize (this will be 1 july, if she is around, haha)
>target, just to bask in the glory that is target (i can get most things i need here, so no need to stockpile. but will hoard some things.)
>trip to fenway (hopefully)
>walk around boston commons, downtown, back bay, copley
>outlet shopping, my favorite discount shops
>all my favorite meals that i've missed and/or can't reproduce here (too many to list, seriously, and i'm slightly embarrassed.)
>hopefully some new food finds

and of course... seeing my family and my favorite peoples. i miss you. a lot.
