for the next five days, at least....
sitting here at an internet cafe in granada, nicaragua, juicing up the ´pod and already trying to figure out my next steps in this beautiful country. one thing i know for sure is that already i feel like i should be on the lookout for an ´i -heart-nicaragua´ shirt. the shuttle drive was beautious in that latin american way, and granada is pretty charming, albeit touristy. i jump when i hear english, which is funny since i am surrounded by english speakers daily. i have so many recommendations and choices for next steps, it´s hard to make a decision with an already indecisive personality. i guess i´ll have to come back.
was picked up this morning at 4-45am, after having slept about 3.5 hours. the previous night i slept about 5 hours. so, when i checked into my hotel, and when i felt the heat and humidity, i succumbed to a nap. then i forced myself up, because why would you sleep in another country in which you just arrived, and walked around the central park and found a light lunch. then, since i couldn´t change my money because the banks were closed, i wanted to bring my passport back to my hotel room. bad news. nap numero dos commenced at that time.
the heat and humidity are making me stupid. can´t think. can´t stay awake.
it was fun to talk to the shuttle driver this morning, and i´m pleased that people seem to be understanding me here. i have a package tour booked for tomorrow, and then i will leave to another place on monday. to where, i´m not sure. trying to sift through recommendations now. probably just the beach, so as to maximize sun time in order to make my family and friends in frozen tundra of boston supremely jealous. oooh yes.
later, loves.
Hope you had a great time in Nicaragua, Steph! I love your post. Two naps... not bad. Merry Holidaze! See ya en dos mil diez.-Michelle Fajkus
